Holidaying in Port Douglas

So far we are enjoying the warmer climate although someone had a but of a tanty yesterday. The accommodation and area are really nice especially since the sun came out.

Spanish brunch

We went to the other side of the harbour to Blues Point for a brunch at a Spanish place. We took Nagymama there previously but hadn't been back since. While the weather was a bit iffy, we still had a great meal and tasty drinks.

Going to Port Douglas

The rain has started back up in Sydney so we are heading out of town. This time we are going to Port Douglas until the weather improves. SV has been really excited to go on a plane again.

Reading with mommie

SV and KT enjoy reading together. Sometimes they read a number of books especially from the Mr Man series. Sometimes it's tiring work and SV needs to take a break to have a nap. This time she put herself to bed because she was tired.

Baby party

Below are a couple of photographs from a party where most of the kids and parents from SV's mothers group came. We had fun to see how all the kids are growing up and the way their personalities are developing. They are all quite different.

SV enjoyed playing with all of her friends, serving them tea and having dinner. She played very nicely, in fact they all did. Eventually though SV wanted a bit of alone time and found some books to read. She read the Hungry Caterpillar to herself aloud which was quite cute.

Riding the ferries

SV is a good public transport user. She was quite excited to go ride the ferry despite the rainy weather. The fact that she got to see people fishing and actually catch a fish while we waited was a bonus. It was a fun day out.

Drinking dress

Currently this dress seems to be a favourite. She likes to pair it with stockings now that it's starting to get (relatively) cooler. She also picked out some wedge sandals to go with it. Perhaps she has been watching Pop Asia a bit too much, picking up the K Pop look.

School Fete

Our local public school had a fete, basically a school fair, for local families to fund raise and show off some of the school's activities. Since we have started thinking of SV's school needs we thought we should go and see what the school has on offer, especially because they have a preschool program which feeds into kindergarten. SV got dressed to impress and we were off. SV managed to make the most of the fete getting a balloon, treats and her face painted. At the small petting zoo she interestingly preferred to pat the snake which fascinated her.
