Chinese dragons and excitement

We took a stroll through Chinatown and there were lion and dragon dancers performing. SV and TV got up close and personal with one of them, and the lion flinched first. They then chased it down the lane for a little bit before sitting down for a cold beverage. Afterwards we took some sort of 'light' rail home which made SV rather tired.

New Year Yum Cha

What better way to celebrate the Chinese New Year than with yum cha? We of course met up with our yum cha partners, Uncle Matt and Uncle Adam. It had been quite a while since we last saw them so, as always, it was a great catch up. SV was a bit grouchy though and the fact that our seats were quite loud didn't help things either. It was a tasty lunch and afterwards SV got to go to an arcade for some virtual fishing while TV got some electronics shopping.

Waffles at Uncle Nick's

We went to Uncle Nick's house for some good deep waffles. Not only were they delicious with the berries we brought, but we even had some vanilla ice cream to top it off. SV had a lot of fun playing in the new place and walking out on to the balcony. SV certainly made herself at home quickly, setting up her play mat and riffling through the bookshelves. Later we found out that we could actually see our house from Nick's. Although he has a much better view than we do.

Wet n wild post lunch

We had a lunch to warm us up and give us some more energy. The little shark was quite hungry and ate her lunch with gusto. Then she used her bucket for all sorts of activities. Eventually she got up her courage to go down the slides again, eventually doing it all by herself. In fact she didn't want us to help her at all. Once she got going she did not want to go home, and kept negotiating for another go on the slides.

Wet n Wild before lunch

We went to the local water park because the weather was meant to be warm with only a chance of showers. When we got there the sky was a bit ominous but we had discount tickets and were there so why not. SV was really excited and showed how cheeky she can be. After the kid slides and kids lazy river we went down to the wave pool which corresponded quite well with the rain. We found a beach umbrella to sit under while the rain passed and SV played in the sand. Eventually we ventured into the wave pool again but after jumping in the waves for a while we wanted to float down the big lazy river. We all had inter tubes and just floated around. It was good but we got quite chilly. It was time to go in and warm up a bit.

Although Squishy isn't out yet we already feel like a family of four. Won't be long now.

Ring pop

SV was getting a lot of satisfaction from her ring pop. She was very focused and even ignored the camera. She was in full stare bear mode.
