First day in Paris

We had a great arrival into Paris with all of our luggage arriving without a problem. We had a very nice breakfast at a cafe with delicious croissants and coffee/hot chocolate. Despite what people may think of Parisians, they have been nothing but nice to us, we random people talking to us about SV.
We had a chance to walk through Montparnasse Cemetery, which is one of the big cemeteries in Paris. There are quite a few notable people buried there including Man Ray, Sarte, Susan Sontag and Samuel Beckett. SV really enjoyed herself despite the cold gloomy weather. She stayed pretty warm with her little hat and mittens.

World Tour Sacramento group photograph

In collaboration with Uncle Rich we bring you the group photograph from the Sacramento stop of the World Tour.

At Sacre Coeur

We had a lovely walk up to Sacre Coeur, with the weather being perfect. The view of Paris was fantastic from there. The church itself is beautiful. We then followed it up with a lovely meal at a café before saying good bye to our good friend Naomi.

Sacramento World Tour party

Here are a several pictures of people that attended the Around the World Tour Party in Sacramento. All photographs are thanks to Grandma CeCe and her camera. We did not get individual photographs of everyone (over 100 people attended), but we would appreciate it if people sent us photographs they took during the party.

We want to thank everyone responsible for making this party happen especially Connie, Marta and Don. Also a big thank you to everyone for making the effort to come to the party and being so generous.

Slovak dinner

SV had a chance to meet her great aunt and uncle from her Slovak side of the family at a dinner. She enjoyed her time meeting Edina, Lubo and Marek. She even got into a heated discussion with Lubo, but in the end they came to a friendly agreement and shook hands. She was pleased with the UC Santa Cruz banana slug toy that her Uncle Rich gave her, and of course as with everything newit went right into her mouth.

Sitting in a high chair

SV had tea time in a high chair today and really enjoyed it. She did really well as she watched us eat our desserts.

Family dinner

Quite a few of the family members got together at Marta and Brad's house for a BBQ so those that haven't met SV had a chance to do so. It was a great evening with tasty food.
