Playing at the Drobny's

 The girls really enjoyed playing various games at the house. They really got into several matches of chess though which impressed everyone. 

Rymavska Sobota playground

 The playground in Rymavska Sobota that the kids usually play at has gotten a big make over. The kids really enjoyed going and playing out there, especially with all of the wildflowers blooming. We went and looked at the river as well for a minute just to see if we could see any fish. We only saw small ones so quickly headed back. The girls continued playing while TV went back upstairs and supervised from above.

Patka's birthday

 We got to be there at Patka's family birthday celebration. We were a bit underprepared but it was fun. She was quite pleased with how nicely she was celebrated. Our girls were a bit shy but they were happy to attend. 

Walking to Andula's house

 We walked down the cemetery to Teta Aundula's house. She again had a new activity planned out for the girls, this time they were to make an animal out of paper and toilet paper rolls. They all took it seriously but EV was really focused on making good cuts and gluing her pieces, so it took her a little longer than her sisters. MV and SV began playing other things including a game of Sorry.

 

The view from Trenčín Castle

 We walked around Trenčín Castle and the views were fantastic. Especially on such a lovely day with wispy little clouds. We got to explore some of the castle but not quite all of it as we knew we had a long walk back and some of the troops were starting to get hungry. We did walk to the top of the main tower up the narrow stairs. It was quite the view from up there, but a bit intimidating at the same time. On the way back we had a bit of fun too. The slides built into the hillside proved to be the most popular.

Walking up to Trenčín Castle

 We took our time walking up to the castle in Trenčín. Mostly because the usual way was closed due to construction. We ended up going through an alternate way via the forest. We didn't really mind as it was quite picturesque. The castle itself is also quite interesting and work is underway to further restore it.

 

Walking around Trenčín

 We took a little trip to go have a look at Trenčín which is the central city in the area. We walked through the square and other parts of the city in the shadow of the castle. The castle is quite an attraction though as it's perched atop the hill in a rather picturesque way.
