To the park with new toys

The girls were really keen to play with their new toys but wanted more space. So we stopped opening presents for a while and walked over to the park. EV enjoyed running around and going in the swing. SV plaed with her remote control car. MV was sneaking up (or not) on people with her play gun and climbing all over everything.

More christmas morning fun

We opened up a few more presents and found a couple that were a real laugh. Perhaps you can see some of the favourites. It was good fun and we all laughed heartily.

Coming downstairs Christmas morning

After having a late night the girls all slept in and consequently so did we. They then played very nicely upstairs for quite some time. It wasn't until almost 9am before we all came down to see what Santa left. There was certainly no shortage of presents and everyone got several things from their wish lists. MV and SV were excited about their gifts but EV was a bit bewildered by the entire experience.

Going on the ooh ahh parade

After opening some presents we it was finally starting to get dark and so we headed out to look at some of the christmas decorations. We drove through our neighbourhood which was nice, but we had a particular street that we wanted to see. This particular street is only 2 blocks long but pretty much every house decorates with lights and figures. There were heaps of people there including two bands and carolers. There was also a Mr Whippy selling ice creams. All in all a very festive atmosphere and EV was completely in awe. MV and SV were too in fact as it was quite the spectacle. KT just kept saying, "Look, it's a scene. It's a scene." So she must have enjoyed it too.

Getting into the pressies on Christmas Eve

Traditionally we open a few presents on Christmas Eve and this year was no different. Since dinner was quick we all took a fast shower and put on pyjamas with plenty of time to open presents. We all took turns opening them with EV getting into it as she opened some of her own. Everyone was very well behaved and respectful as each person actually got a chance to enjoy their present.

Preparing for Christmas Eve

EV was playing on her own while the other ladies were busy building a rice krispy treat xmas tree. Everyone had fun and just enjoyed spending time together. For dinner rather than spending heaps of time cooking on a hot day we ended up ordering sushi and bento boxes which really hit the spot. It also gave us more time to play and less time to clean up.

Tiny artist

EV is really starting to want to draw. She likes to have her time and space to do it. Doesn't really like being interupted though. She was very focused and proud of her work at the end.
