Hyde Park lunch

Even though we weren't particularly hungry we stopped to enjoy the sunshine in the park while having a bite to eat. It is hard to believe that it's winter here.

Australian Museum Revisited

We had another coupon for the Australian Museum so we decided to go for another visit. It gave us a chance to see some of the other exhibits that were on offer which we didn't quite have time to see last time. SV had a great time in the children's areas, but she was less enthusiastic about the mineral displays. She liked the stick insects though, and she and KT made friends with a very friendly Blue Tongue Lizard who came over to say hello. SV also tried her hand at planking again, although she did miss the craze by a few years. There was a crafts area where SV made a decorated dinosaur egg with a little critter inside.

Princess and the sunrise

Once upon a time there was a princess named Buttercup. She enjoyed staying at hotels, especially when she got the chance to wake up early and see the sun rise over her city of choice. She also liked wearing her princess dresses around her chosen room. She was a fair and benevolent dictator most of the time, but sometimes she liked to go and pilfer the treasury so she could go and buy a new dress. The people liked her because when she was good, she was very very good, but when she was bad, she was horrid. Luckily she was very rarely bad.

Americana dress

SV received an Americana dress and she finally got to wear it. She quite enjoyed wearing her before causing a bit of mischief.

Yo Gabba Gabba Live

SV got a treat, she got to catch a train to see Yo Gabba Gabba live (a favourite children's program). On the way back we went on a ferry too. Along the way we all had some fun because the show was being held at Sydney's famous Luna Park. This was not SV's first live concert, but she was a bit surprised when the characters came out of the screen and performed live. She never quite got over that until the end of the show. To cap off the fun day she got to have a hamburger which she is now quite fond of as can be seen in the last photograph.

The big bed

Our hotel room had a big king size bed which SV made sure to take advantage of. She managed to get up to quite a bit of mischief but all while having fun. In addition to her rambunctious activities she was also happy to sit and read a book with KT before heading off to sleep.

Swimming in the hot tub

SV enjoys swimming, but only when the water is warm. The hotel has pool on the top level with some great views, but SV only dipped her feet in the pool before deeming it too cold. Instead she went over to the hot tub and had a bit of a swim in it instead. Then she sat and relaxed before she got a bit too warm.
