Breakfast games

French toast and a new game from her birthday made MV very excited. SV also enjoyed it but busy working on her strategy of capturing chickens.

Opening her party gifts

After leaving the party and having a nap, MV was happy to open some of her gifts. SV let her open her gifts on her own and only offering to help when needed.

The party room

MV was excited to be able to sit in the big chair after seeing SV sit there. She really enjoyed the attention and was happy to have her big sister right next to her. With support from SV she wasn't at all shy or looking for us. She really liked her cake and blowing out her candles. She is also becoming quite poised now, having great smiling faces and silly faces for the camera when asked. After all that posing everyone was happy to cut loose with a few games.

It's party time

Once getting to Jungle Buddies MV was off like a rocket. She was really excited and only came back to check in on what friends had arrived and grabbing a snack before heading off again. Being one of the oldest kids at the party, SV took on the role of chaperone which suited her quite nicely. MV also collected the little sisters and made a little circle where they played for a while. It was quite cute, and it showed that she is also happy to enlist friends to play without SV. MV also made her own game up of pretending to be mummy to her kitten baby so that she could have a bit of alone time.

Pre-party morning

MV was excited as soon as she woke up. She knew it was the day of her birthday party. She had been to a number of them for other kids including SV, but she didn't quite know what it meant to be the birthday girl. She couldn't quite remember her previous birthdays of course. We let her open up a few presents before the party to get her in the mood. SV being a good big sister immediately volunteered to read her the new book.

Good ol' park

Nothing beats park. Riding scooters to the park made us realised how much these two have matured during our holiday. They are very capable now, although with a very strong will. MV in particularly has taken a big step forward in her coordination and physical prowess. SV has also progressed, but more so in her imaginative play.

Back home again

We all love to travel, no doubt, but there is certainly something to be said about being back home and having a sunny morning in your pyjamas. MV and SV both made the most of it, enjoying not only the weather, but also their new found toys. Eventually they got dressed but still had fun working and playing.
