Pre-wedding drinks and the reception

KT and friends all made it to Brussels for Auntie Naomi's wedding. They got to catch up with other friends as well at pre-wedding drinks. The next day was the wedding ceremony at the town hall after which KT got to talk to so many of our friends. It was so much fun and so good to see our friends again and to be part of a lovely ceremony.

KT and friends got to try out all sorts of delicious food and drinks throughout the two countries. They did so so with no regrets and great bravery. After all, they deserved it after the running!

Running in Europe

KT, Auntie Gemma and Uncle Mat decided to do a running tour of Paris where they saw some of the normal highlights. They also go to see the oldest restaurant in France and other lesser known sights. KT and Gemma also ended up running in Bruge with Mat's dad. That was a nice run too, through the picturesque town with so much to see.

KT in Paris

On her first day KT met up with our friends to take in some of the sights. They did a fair amount of sight seeing which extended into the next day too. They also stopped to have a bit of a picnic next to the Eifel Tower in the sunshine. Hard to beat that.

Cheering the Matildas on

Our Matildas, Australian Women's Soccer team, played France in the World Cup quarter finals. They we were playing in Sydney but we didn't have tickets so had to watch it live at home. The girls made signs and we cheered for them as did over 11 million other Aussies. The match was really exciting and went back and forth. It ended up going into extra time and then penalties. We were all on the edge of our seats as the Aussies scored the 20th penalty to win the match. We were super excited because that meant we would see them live a few days later as they played England in the semi-finals.
