Tiny pigtails

We continue to work with SV on teaching her to keep things in her hair. And she continues to take things out. Oh well, when she does leave clips in her hair they are pretty cute. This day was a warm one, and in fact signified the beginning of summer for us. The best thing to do was take off as many clothes as possible and just lay there, maybe have a bit of a play as SV demonstrates.

Christmas at Martin Place: Part 3

We ended up not staying to the end of the program to see the lights turned on the tree because a certain little turkey got too tired. Although on the way home we stopped to take a few more photographs next to the christmas tree and SV was a little bit more cooperative. She also ended up walking a fair way to the bus stop before getting into the pram for the ride home. She must have worked up a bit of an appetite because she finished off another piece of sushi on the bus ride home.

Christmas at Martin Place: Part 2

KT performs the detested face wash in public maneuver on SV. SV certainly didn't care for it but as soon as she got to play with a straw and drink some water from the adult cup she was ok again.

Christmas at Martin Place: Part 1

To kick off December we the City of Sydney had a Christmas program for kids at Martin Place which included children's entertainers and culminated with the Lord Mayor Clover Moore lighting the Christmas tree. We went down to see the happenings and ended up having a bit of a picnic with the entertainment providing a nice backdrop. 

We took photographs in front of the Christmas tree, although SV was too distracted by all the other people to allow us to get a good family portrait. SV got a show bag with a fun light up wand which she immediately enjoyed playing with. She managed to figure out how to turn on the lights on it which kept her interest for quite some time. New wooden activity cube

SV got a new toy which is a wooden cube which has multiple activities on it. We actually got it for her for her birthday but because people were so generous we held it back so she would have something new to challenge her. She really likes playing with it now, especially because she is walking and standing so well, that way she can get to the top part and move all the pieces.

The Aquarium Incident

SV seems to be very interested in fishes since she saw Grandma Marta's big aquarium. Finally we decided to get her a little aquarium for her room, but we told her she had to help out with it. So here she is helping out cleaning the rocks and 'gently' putting them in the new aquarium. She had a good tie doing it as evidenced by her concentration which manifests itself in her tongue being partially out. Take a look for yourself.

Zebra in the crowd

SV was trying to blend in with our hanging tapestry which has a vague zebra pattern on it. Here are some of the funny faces she was making.
