EV has been playing well with her sisters but she has also been playing really well by herself. She is enjoying playing all sorts of games including using her imagination to make up stories like when she built a sand volcano and had villagers escaping lava.
MV was wearing KT's new safety goggles and she looked adorable. Self-described, but no less accurate.
We got the small pool out and got it all set up. The girls were so excited to get in there, it was all we could do to keep them out until the pool was filled with water including some hot water from the tea kettle. Despite our efforts with the kettle the pool was still cold but they had a great time. The older two lasted some time in there but EV would probably have slept in their as she didn't seem to feel the cold at all. She also had a really good time using the net to scoop out leaves, sometimes under direction from MV.
The girls were really keen to play badminton again now that the weather is warming up a bit. EV played too for a little while but then she got bored and started doing other things, mostly not great with the racket. MV played for a while but she got a bit frustrated with EV and stopped to scoot around. SV was determined though and managed to get up to 8 hits before the shuttlecock hit the ground. That was a personal best so she was excited.
MV was working on her dance routine and wanted all of us to see it. We're not sure whether she will actually get to do it at a show, so it was really good to get a home performance. EV liked it so much that she started following along as well.
All the girls got to open a few presents but EV was of course got to open the most. She was just so happy to have all of us celebrating her and her getting to do so many fun things. It was really a pleasure to see her enjoy herself like that.
EV was really excited to open her presents and start playing with them. Of course she wasn't quite ready to put her ice cream down so she recruited a helper to get some of the wrapping off. It also allowed her time to enjoy herself and dance.
