Horse riding

Babicka took us horse riding near her house. The three of them had a great time spending time with the horses. It was really good to watch how much they enjoyed it and connected over it. It was a bit of a shame that the three of them couldn't ride together yet. MV got to ride first and not only enjoyed it but she was actually quite good. She seemed quite natural sitting in the saddle.

Spending one more day with Cheryl

We took Cheryl out for lunch and then got to spend some more time with her. We got to spend more time looking through Eric's studio and exchanging stories before heading inside to play games.

Sac rail museum

We had never been inside the rail museum before and it was actually a really impressive museum. Lots of interesting trains and well laid out. The real trains were impressive and they also had an impressive collection of toy trains. We certainly had a good time walking around even though we only had a short visit.

Short visit to old town Sac

MV and TV took a little trip down to old town Sac to have a little walk around. It was a lovely afternoon and they enjoyed walking around. The area has changed a little bit but not too much. There are some pretty cool historical things to see including the rather impressive locomotive and the ever present Delta King paddle-boat.

Family video games

We got to play some videoso games (as MV and SV call them) with Uncle Richie and Auntie Jeanna. The girls are learning how to play them, and are getting interested in playing games. Luckily Uncle Richie and Auntie Jeanna got us our very own console to play. Mario Kart and Mario Odyssey are turning out to be quite popular at the moment.

Lunch and ice cream with Dedko

We caught up with Dedko Lubo, Silvia and Richard. Also the other Richard and Jeanna. It was good to see them and introduce them to yum cha and all the different fun dumplings. Then we took them to Gunthers for ice cream which was a treat for everyone. EV fell asleep but Uncle Richie knew just how to wake her up (gross!) It was quite a fun afternoon although it is not quite clear why EV went flying and MV was laying around in a trunk. At least SV was being normal.

Last of the family goes

In the morning the last of the family from Texas had to head out. It was hard to see everyone leaving, but having cuddles with Auntie Lanie made things a lot easier.
