Morning with baby stripes

In the morning MV looked like a little prisoner in her striped outfit. She is a bit sick so she probably felt a bit like one as well, trapped in her misery. Luckily SV came in to cheer her up a bit. They had a good play but unfortunately SV had to go to school and MV had to stay home sick.

Costco trip

We needed to get a few things in bulk so we headed to Costco. It was actually quite fun with the girls enjoying the cart ride and subsequent snack. After a quick meal we headed inside but some of the characters started pulling faces, while others got quite tired and tried having a nap in the trolley. In the end MV had the most fun just running around the wide isles.

MCA and beyond

Not all of the art at the MCA was stimulating though and both the girls nodded off. TV wasn't too far off himself, although he didn't quite fall asleep. After everyone woke up we had an ice cream snack to hold us over until dinner. The ferry ride back was also fun but the weather didn't really let us stand outside. SV and MV finished off their ice creams and made faces instead.

Going to the MCA

It was meant to be a rainy day so we decided to do an indoor cultural activity. We decided to catch a ferry to the Museum of Contemporary Arts (MCA) since the weather was still quite nice. It was a very pleasant ride and SV wanted to go outside to feel the wind through her hair. At the museum we had a bit of lunch with a terrific view. The food was actually pretty good too which made for a very nice lunch despite MV being quite busy. Afterwards we set off through the museum. Some of the exhibits were quite engaging.

MV's first cycle ride

Since MV is now walking so confidentaly we decided to give her a new challenge. We put her on a bicycle while TV walked along the side. She enjoyed it, especially because SV rode her balance bike in front of her. Both the girls enjoyed the slippery dip and the swings, although TV had a hard time keeping both of them going at once. The most fun though was another girl blowing bubbles which they all chased around.When we got back MV started to disassemble her push car to see how it works. She is actually quite curious like that.

  

Waffle brunch

Uncle Nick and his Mum Elsa came over for a waffle brunch. It was an absolute cracker of a day, perfect weather and very relaxing. In fact it was so nice that SV and MV started playing with water. Their playing let the adults continue to talk and sit peacefully.

Raking the leaves

MV and SV helped TV rake the leaves in the backyard. It was quite fun with leaves being thrown all around, but they were actually quite helpful. At the end though MV ended up with a nap and SV watched the 'show', aka TV raking the last of the leaves.
