Sydney International Auto Show

Last week we went to the auto show here in Sydney and we both enjoyed it. There was lots to see and several fun things to do. TV got to drive a Formula 1 simulator. There was also a rally car simulator. There was a 4X4 track with different kinds of obstacles that a person could be driven through. Everyday there was at least one fashion show that highlighted an Aussie designer. Overall it was very well setup. There were also a lot of cars that we don't see in the US to different reasons.
The black Lamborghini was only one of two hundred in the world. It had all Versace fabric on the interior and some other minor differences, at a low bargain price of $250,000 US.

There were also some nice classic cars at the show, like this Mustang. There were also some classics that were different like a Ford Falconer.

TV really liked this Porsche Race car that was made almost entirely of carbon fibre.

For those of you that want luxury, the short wheelbase Maybach. So rich it had it's own security guard. It was a very nice interior and super plush seats, but the exterior looked like a short bus Mercedes 500.
Last years Toyota Formula 1 race car. Another all carbon fiber car. It was surprisingly small.

In Oz the grey truck like cars are call ed Utes. They re super popular and come with different types of configurations, like little pickups in the States. It's funny to see these sporty looking little trucks driving around hauling a refrigerator or a bunch of plants.

A very nice Ford Focus that the US will never see. There was also a convertible version that is not slated for the US market. Actually for a cheap car, it was very nice and it's a shame that Ford sell the very uninspired Focus in the States.

These white cars are also very popular here. They usually have a V6 or small block V8 in them. They are popular with the street racing crowd and the Police.

New Audi A4 complete with a Audi girl. We couldn't quite get confirmation if she came with the car for the lofty sales price.

The new Subaru WRX STI rally car. Looked better in person. Looks like a mean little car.

Here is the new Mitsubishi Evo. This one looked even meaner than the WRX. This is going to be a tough rally car.

Suzuki's Rally car with roll cage and all. Unfortunately not for sale.

KT posing in front of her very own rally car. This could be a sign.
This brings us to the end of another great event here in Sydney. We are looking forward to the Motorcycle show that is coming up 2-4 Nov. and promises to be even more fun.

AC Cobra? Hemi Cuda? Aston-Martin? Veyron? Enzo? Where are all the fun cars? Whats the white ford with the cobra markings on it? I'ld still take one of each. Put them on my account.
