Our First Ride

We apologize for a lack of activity recently. TV has been finishing the semester at Uni, studying and writing papers. KT has been busy working nights this past week and trying to sleep during the day. Here are some photos our first trip on the motorcycle. It was just a short couple of hours to the National Park south of Sydney to relax and enjoy some scenery. There was a beautiful beach that we visited will about ten people on it. Plus we had the chance to ride through some interesting rock formations and Gum tree forests. Our little bike did great! We can't wait to take some more rides. Now that school is over until March we are looking to take some more trips and we should have some more frequent updates.

Sydney Motorcycle Show

This past Sunday we went to the Sydney Motorcycle Show. It was great, with all kinds of things to see. All of the manufacturers had bikes on display, along with a bunch of after market companies. Kids and adults could get rides on dirt bikes or Harleys. There were also some stunt shows and a couple of guys showing off their trial bike skills. Enjoy the photos and if anyone has questions about any of the motorcycles, just ask. We have several more photos, but this is probably too many already.

A good way to get around

So after months of not having any kind of vehicle, we finally got a motorcycle. First off are our new helmets. After some thought we decided that we would spend a little bit more money and get helmets that were higher quality and would offer the maximum protection without being too flashy. The other photos are of our new little bike. It is a Suzuki SV 650. This is what it looked like when we brought it home. There have already been a few modifications made. The little SV came with a nice luggage rack that is detachable and a few more little goodies. We are very excited because we can now start exploring more of Sydney and the surrounding area. We have planned a trip south along the coast for next weekend, to soak in some sun (with lots of sunscreen of course) on some white beaches. Stay tuned for those photos, weather permitting.
