Bit of backyard soccer

Since the backyard was all nice and tidy it we had space for some soccer practice. TV and SV had fun playing and working on their passing skills. SV did a bit of shooting practice too. MV was an occasional defender as she rode by on her tricycle.

Cleaning up the garden beds

The garden was starting to look a bit scruffy since winter is now in full swing. The veggies mostly stopped producing and the flowers had stopped blooming, a certain small animal may have had a little something to do with that. We felt like it was a good time to clean up and get ready for the spring. We had a good time and both MV and SV helped out. To be fair SV helped out a bit more.

Saying good bye to the bus museum

Once back from our jaunt, we explored a few more of the buses. They drove a number of the buses and pretended to take tickets from unsuspecting passengers. They had a great time and were very chatty all the way home talking about their adventure.

More from the bus museum

Probably the highlight of the day was being able to see the same type of bus that TV used to drive. We then got to go for a joy ride in another iconic London double deck bus. We all really enjoyed it, particularly on the way back MV and SV made a friend and giggled the whole way.

Sydney Bus Museum

It was British bus day at the Sydney Bus Museum, and what could be more exciting. KT was sick so TV took the girls for a fun filled day out. The girls were actually really quite excited, particularly SV who had seen the double deck buses in CA as well. The museum is really interesting, with lots of cool buses and other vehicles too. The MG was similar to the one KT and TV owned back in CA. The camouflaged bus was really interesting as it was used for passenger services during WW2 here in Sydney. The girls also liked the bus simulator where they could collect tickets and run the bus through its gears. They also thought it was fun to sit in the bicycle rickshaw and the royal mail scooter, both classics.

Happy International Sisters Day!

Take a minute to celebrate your sister. MV and SV certainly have.

Riding bikes to the park

With winter days like this anything is possible. We rode our bicycles to the park so that SV could get some practice and get her confidence back. MV was also pretty keen for a ride. Going to the park is always a good motivator and this time they both made some friends who rode in on their bikes too. SV and her new friends joined up into a little bike gang which improved her confidence even more. All the activity meant that MV went straight down for a nap once we were got home and SV just wanted to read books to Setsuna.
