What's cooking?

MV and SV were hard at work in their mini kitchen when TV came by looking for lunch. He asked his silly question which was met with no small amount of disdain. It was good to see them using good hygiene and cooking with gloves. Their kitchen will get a top rating from the health department for sure.

Shaving TV's beard

TV always tries to have a bit of fun when shaving his beard off. This time there was a bit of resistance from both KT and SV about shaving the beard. TV included SV in the shaving of the beard which made it better but she does set out her case quite clearly for keeping the beard in the video below.

Another Ikea trip

We are in the final stages of setting up our house but we had to make yet one more trip to Ikea. SV really enjoys going there because it's fun to wander through all the displays but also because they have a great free play centre. MV seems to like it too as there are heaps of colours and stuff to look at. Unfortunately we will need to make one more trip back as we found a need for one other bookshelf.

Together and separate

MV and SV are getting to be closer and there is a growing friendship between them. They still do quite a few activities separately which is good. But, they now play together as well. For extended periods even. In the last photograph SV was annoyed because we took MV upstairs for a shower and she couldn't play with her.

Australia Day on the Harbour

We got to spend this Australia Day on the Harbour thanks to our friends Sam and Kai. It was a spectacular day with a view to match. The most exciting part were the F18s making a low pass over the harbour before climbing into the sky and doing some rolls. Kai is a chef and made a very tasty BBQ meal. Since there was a sunny day Sam made a cubbie for MV and SV to sit in the shade. They even brought out a little pool for everyone to dip their feet or in MV's case go for a swim. Also MV is now able to stand for short periods of time now, if she is sufficiently distracted that is.

Helping around the house

TV was busy cleaning the garage as one of the last big move in tasks. MV was busy tearing up stuff inside so TV brought her into the garage to help move things about. Eventually she got a bit tired and we put her in the pram. She remained vigilant but more importantly stationary. Afterwards we all went inside and MV and SV played together very nicely.

Activities at the Australian Museum

After looking at some of the exhibits it was time to go to the interactive area. SV was invited to make a backpack from paper. She had a lot of fun doing it with a bit of help from KT. In the meantime TV took SV to the baby play area where she roamed freely until she found her glass wall. She thought it would be fun to make faces on the wall.
