Video Ride

We took a video of a ride down a great bit of road from one of our rides. Now you can all feel like you are riding a motorcycle in Australia, don't get scared about being on the left side, that's how we do it here. A big thank you goes out to Connie for the awesome tripod that allowed the shooting of the movie. It's not the most interesting in the world so you don't have to watch it all. PS for some reason youtube decided to take a decent quality movie and turn it horrible, our apologies.

NSW Rides

The last couple of days we have been enjoying wonderful weather. So what better way to take advantage then go for a ride through the surrounds. Monday we went down the coast to Wollongong. We stopped at one of the lookouts to take some photos. In the first photo you can see a weindy bridge in the background, and that is where we ended up going after the photos. We got chilled so we stopped for lunch at a little hole-in-the-wall joint. They made some of the best burgers ever. The burger had so much stuff in it that we had to take two bites just to make any progress. On the way back we stopped by the beach and found a very vigilant and patient dog waiting for his human to finish surfing. Another day TV went for a ride and found some interesting vista points. The first four photos overlook Wollongong and it's surroundings. TV used a tripod hooked up to a railing and apparently it was a bit tilted. The bird in the next photos is a Cucaburra and yes, he is sitting in a tree. Actually he came very close hoping for a hand out. He sat there very patiently while his portraits were taken, but when the camera was put away ad he did not receive a treat he got angry. To show his anger he buzzed TV's head before flying away to sit in his tree. The other photos are of Nowra from another lookout that provided a good view.

Finished!

After a year of studies and 8 classes later, TV is finished with his Master's degree. The last final exam was finished yesterday, and unless a complete lack of consciousness occurred during the exam or while writing the last reports, a degree should be on its way soon. TV is feeling foot loose and fancy free for the next four days before starting his job full time. Actually he is looking forward to working full time and having planning projects of his own to work on. There should be some photos going up soon, as we are hopefully going to do more fun activities. The graduation ceremony will be sometime in October or maybe November, that is as close an approximation as the school is willing to give us.

KT's Hatchday!

Last week KT had her big birthday evening. First we, including some of our friends, went to Govinda's for an Indian vegetarian buffet. We were going to stick around for the movie which they show after, but we took too long eating. They have nice couches that a person can recline on and watch a movie on a big screen, we will definitely go back another time. After dinner instead of the movie, we decided to go to Kings Cross for some upscale cocktails, we found them in the form of cocktails being served in tea kettles. While interesting, it was not the most conducive atmosphere for talking as the DJ was playing music too loud. So what better place to go than sing karaoke, right? Of course, we then moved on to karaoke where we all got into the fun and sang brilliantly, well it seemed like it. After an extra long session of karaoke KT wanted to go dancing so we were off to one of the bars with music we discovered only the night before. It turned out to be a night jam packed of fun activities, we started at 17:30 and didn't get home until 2:30. A very fun night, with everyone having a good time, most of all the birthday girl.

Celeb. Sighting

Last Night we were having a nice walk through downtown before dinner, when we saw a bunch of people standing around. We decided to walk over to see what the big deal was. There was Jack Black at the opening of that Panda movie, don't remember the name of it. He jumped over the barrier into the street to do some goofy martial arts moves before going in for more pictures. It was really random, and funny. Unfortunately we didn't get close enough for a decent photo, but it's fine. We wonder who we will run into next, will it be you?
