Sydney leg of Mark's trip
So here is another post just like the other one. So here we go with Mark's trip.
First we took Mark down to the Opera House and Harbour to see the famous Sydney landmarks, along with some antics from the bus. The next day we went to Bondi Beach to take in the surf and great sunset which preceded a very heavy rain storm.
Another day KT and Mark went to Featherdale Animal Park to pet the animals, including some very friendly Wombats.
That evening we were walking through the city and we stumbled (as we do) across the Australian premier of Bruno. Before the real Bruno came out there was a hilarious impersonator that ended up being a stuff to advertise a fast food joint.
Eventually the real Bruno made an appearance along with his horse.
Another night we walked through and eventually got locked in the Botanical Gardens, all we wanted to do was watch the bats wake up, but apparently we overstayed our welcome.
We did get out and played a game of pool before meeting up with our friends for a couple of cold drinks.
Yet another night we went to an Uighur restaurant with Veronica and Matt, incidentally this was about a week or so before the big civil unrest where Chinese Uigurs and Han Chinese had riots and several people died in China. Our meal there was very tasty and interesting, it was very comforting food that had nice flavours.
One of Mark's last days him and KT met up with Adam and walked across the Harbour Bridge before going to Luna Park for some entertainment. We all then met up and went to the Star City Casino for a nice view, drink and free gambling (we actually did not spend any of our money).
We enjoyed having Mark visiting us and we sure hope he had a good time despite his illness.
