We spent quite a bit of the day on the rides because the queues were not too long. We all rode rides that scared us just a little bit. EV was so excited because she got to ride the Joker ride which was a full blown grown up roller coaster, although we later found out she was actually too small for it. She absolutely loved it though and wanted to go again, which is how we found out she wasn't actually tall enough for it.
Instead of having a traditional birthday party, MV invited her good friend Ellie to come with us to the local amusement park. They had a great time together riding rides and looking at the various animals. MV is now tall enough to ride all of the rides and she was super excited about it. We really enjoyed looking at the animals too, particularly being able to pat the rays.
April was a good month of transition towards warmer weather. We spent a fair amount of time outside and spent quite a bit of time with family again. We started planting a few veggies for the summer and spent a bunch of time reading too.
TV had a lovely birthday culminating with well wishes from the family. We had a little sweet treat as well.
We were working on projects around the house to fix a few things. TV was fixing a water issue and had to fix the stucko before repainting. SV then worked on making a wooden sword for school. It took a number of steps but it turned out quite good. She got a good mark on it and compliments from her peers.
TV has been competing in a mountain bike race series at Prairie City. The family came for one of the races. It was fun to have a fan club who also had fun climbing trees and hanging out.
The girls were excited to count their eggs because they weren't quite sure they found them all. They then got everything out of the eggs and shared them around so they each had the same amount of lollies before they traded stuff. Babicka helped sort and count, making sure all trades were above board. She also had a few bonus prizes which she awarded at the end. Brad and Nagy also came to watch the proceedings and for a bit of a chat.
