NewZealand Holiday
After some time off, here is another post full of photos from our trip, this time to New Zealand as the title suggests. We flew there and met up with Marta and Brad for several days before they flew back to the US and we flew back to Sydney. We started out with KT trying on a Cosby sweater and making friends with the life saver at Sydney airport. The first night in Auckalnd saw us posing for photos and KT feeding her purse into a mailbox for safe keeping before changing into her alternate identity.... uh I mean before making a call. The next set of photos show us sliding down a sand dune before digging holes on the beach. The reason behind that was not to bury the evidence, but to have them fill with water that was heated by the thermal gases rising from below the beach. It was both a very fun and interesting experience that is quite unique. It was a very serene experience and we would like to recommend it to everyone, especially because it is little known about. Next we went to a thermal park just south of Roturua where we saw all kinds of geo-thermal activity and features. Of course there was a geyser triggered by soap, blue and green lakes, and plenty of smelly smoke. Just for the record TV was trying to save Marta and not push her, the photo just has a bad angle. Moving on, we found ourselves at a Mauri village which was almost completely destroyed by a volcano about a hundred years ago. We took some photos with the locals before calling it a day. Brad and Marta's last day had us going louging down a mountain before taking a chairlift back to the top with our awesome helmets as modeled by Brad and Marta. After dropping them off at the airport we were off to the north and the Bay of Islands where TV enjoyed a tasty corn dog and local sweet potato chips, mmm mmm tasty. KT then took the local canon for a spin before the rain started coming down, more about this later. Finally KT shows her pride in the All Blacks in front of an old pub that we found. So ended another great holiday, more photos from New Zealand will be posted soonish, to fill in some of the gaps that this set has left.
